Business
Belmont Resources Inc. (TSXV:BEA) is a Canada-based junior mineral exploration company focused on acquiring, exploring and developing copper, gold, lithium, uranium and rare earth element projects in mining-friendly jurisdictions across Canada and the United States. Founded in 1978 and headquartered at 800 West Pender Street, Suite 615, Vancouver, British Columbia, the company operates a diversified portfolio of properties including its 100%-owned flagship Come By Chance copper-gold porphyry and carbonate replacement deposit target in southeastern British Columbia; the Athelstan-Jackpot gold project in the Greenwood mining camp of southern British Columbia, which encompasses historic mines that produced 7,600 ounces of gold and 9,000 ounces of silver; and the Crackingstone uranium and rare earths project in Saskatchewan's Athabasca Basin featuring high-grade historic samples up to 15.6% U3O8 across three major mineralized corridors; as well as the 50%-optioned Lone Star copper-gold project in Washington State with an indicated resource of 9.7 million tonnes at 0.62% copper equivalent and the 20%-retained Kibby Basin lithium project in Nevada featuring lithium-enriched sediments up to 924 ppm over 450 metres. In 2025, Belmont commenced a fully funded 2,000-metre diamond drilling program at Come By Chance in Q2 targeting a multi-coincident geophysical anomaly indicative of a potential porphyry core, completed over 2,000 metres of drilling by July with five holes testing priority targets, and advanced planning for Q3 drilling at Athelstan-Jackpot to explore high-resistivity feeder zones along the Jackpot fault alongside a permitting application for 10,000 metres at Crackingstone. The company secured significant strategic investments totalling approximately C$3.5 million from European and Asian commodity-focused entities including HMS Bergbau AG (Germany), ERAG Energie & Rohstoff AG PCC (Liechtenstein), LaVo Verwaltungsgesellschaft MBH (Germany) and Commodities & Resources Pte. Ltd. (Singapore), culminating in overwhelming shareholder approval of a change-of-control resolution on May 30, 2025; bolstered its board with appointees from HMS Bergbau and bgm Partners bringing commodity finance expertise; and generated C$778,000 from the December 2024 sale of Nevada water permits to fund accelerated advancement of its flagship assets.
