Business
Fiddlehead Resources Corp. is an upstream energy company engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development, and production of petroleum and natural gas reserves in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. The company focuses on developing low-decline, multi-zone hydrocarbon reservoirs across west-central Alberta, primarily targeting the Cardium formation alongside secondary producing intervals in the Ellerslie, Rock Creek, Viking, and Belly River formations. Fiddlehead Resources Corp. provides a diversified portfolio of hydrocarbon products and midstream field operations, including: light and medium crude oil for downstream refining; conventional natural gas supplied to regional wholesale markets and commercial distribution networks; natural gas liquids, including condensate, butane, and propane extracted during processing; and field-level infrastructure services, comprising owned natural gas gathering networks, field compression stations, and interconnecting pipelines that transport raw effluent to third-party processing plants. In recent corporate developments, the company completed the transformational acquisition of core producing petroleum and natural gas assets in the South Ferrier and Strachan areas of Alberta for approximately CAD 20.8 million in August 2024, funded through a CAD 10.2 million private placement of subscription receipts and a CAD 13.0 million secured credit facility. Following this acquisition, the company completed its corporate continuance from British Columbia to Alberta in September 2024, having previously changed its name from Alpha Peak Capital Inc. to Fiddlehead Resources Corp. In August 2025, the Alberta Energy Regulator finalized the transfer of all operating licenses for the acquired wells, facilities, and pipelines, establishing the company as the operator of record. Additionally, the company adjusted its equity incentives through a board-approved repricing of outstanding stock options in May 2026 to support ongoing operational execution across its core asset base. Fiddlehead Resources Corp. was founded in 2011 and is headquartered in Calgary, Canada.
