Business
Mako Mining Corp. is a publicly listed gold mining, development and exploration company focused on operating high-grade open-pit gold mines and advancing exploration projects. The company operates the San Albino gold mine within the San Albino-Murra property in Nueva Segovia, Nicaragua, which includes the adjacent Las Conchitas deposit; it also holds a 100% interest in the Moss Gold Mine, an open-pit gold mine in Mohave County, northwestern Arizona, United States; and the PEA-stage Eagle Mountain Gold Project in Guyana, South America, comprising the Eagle Mountain and Salbora gold deposits along with additional exploration targets. Founded in 2004 and headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Mako Mining primarily targets gold deposits with secondary silver potential, serving institutional investors and operating in Central America, North America and South America. Recent developments include the September 2025 announcement of a binding term sheet to acquire the fully permitted Mt. Hamilton gold-silver project in White Pine County, Nevada, USA, through a strategic transaction with Sailfish Royalty Corp involving a five-year gold stream and 2% net smelter return royalty without equity dilution; and a C$35 million bought deal private placement of common shares announced in October 2025, expected to close on or about October 28, 2025, to fund growth initiatives.
