In recent developments, Ternium Investments agreed in 2025 to acquire Nippon Steel and Mitsubishi Corporation's remaining stakes in Usiminas' control group for $315.2 million, increasing Ternium's participation from 51.5% to 83.1% pending Brazilian antitrust approval; the company advanced its Pesquería expansion with a new DRI-EAF steel shop targeting Q4 2026 operations, commissioned the Vientos de Olavarría wind farm in Argentina reducing CO2 emissions by 111,000 tons annually, and published its 2024 Sustainability Report outlining a 15% specific CO2e emissions reduction goal by 2030.
