Business
Wescan Goldfields Inc. is a Canadian junior mineral exploration company engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of gold-mineral properties in Saskatchewan’s historic La Ronge Gold Belt. The Company’s principal activities include geological mapping; prospecting; geophysical surveying; historical-core relogging and resampling; surface sampling; mineral-resource evaluation; camp mobilization; and diamond drilling directed toward the delineation and advancement of gold targets. Wescan holds a 100% interest in the Munro Lake, Jojay Lake, Fork Lake and Lindsay Lake gold projects in northern Saskatchewan. The Jojay Lake Project hosts the Jojay gold deposit, which is subject to a 2010 NI 43-101-compliant resource estimate comprising an indicated resource of 420,000 tonnes grading 3.7 grams per tonne gold and an inferred resource of 630,000 tonnes grading 4.3 grams per tonne gold, using a 2.0 grams per tonne gold cut-off. The Fork Lake Project includes the past-producing Jasper gold mine, while the Lindsay Lake Project is located near the past-producing Komis gold mine. The Company primarily targets gold exploration opportunities and prospective deposits in the La Ronge Gold Belt and does not operate producing mines. Wescan was founded in 2003 and is headquartered in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Recent developments include the staking of the Lindsay Lake Gold Project in July 2026; receipt of a drill permit and advancement of 2026 exploration plans for the Munro Lake Project; mobilization of a fly camp for Phase 1 diamond drilling at Munro Lake in August 2026; engagement of Senergy Communications Capital Inc. in August 2026 to provide marketing and media-distribution services; commencement of trading of its shares on the Open Market of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange under the symbol W17A, alongside its TSX Venture Exchange listing under the symbol WGF; management and technical-team enhancements, including the appointment of a senior technical adviser; and the completion, upsizing and extension of non-brokered private-placement financing activities during 2025 and 2026 to support exploration and corporate purposes.
