HPDI enables heavy-duty diesel engines to operate predominantly on lower-carbon fuels like natural gas, biomethane, or hydrogen, matching or exceeding the power, torque, and fuel efficiency of traditional diesel engines while significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions. This technology is critical for long-haul trucking and high-load applications. In a strategic shift to sharpen its focus, Westport completed the divestiture of its Light-Duty segment in July 2025, consolidating its efforts on high-impact opportunities within commercial transportation and industrial applications. The company continues to leverage its extensive intellectual property and global presence, serving customers in approximately 70 countries. Westport Fuel Systems Inc. was founded in 1995 and maintains its headquarters in Vancouver, Canada.
