- Zonte Metals Inc. is a Canadian junior mineral exploration company engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of copper and gold mineral properties. The Company’s principal assets comprise the wholly owned Cross Hills Iron Oxide Copper-Gold (IOCG) Copper Project in Newfoundland and Labrador; the wholly owned MJ Gold Project in the Tintina Gold Belt of Yukon Territory; and the wholly owned Wings Point Gold Project in the Central Newfoundland Gold Belt. Its exploration activities include geological mapping; structural interpretation; airborne and ground geophysical surveys; gravity, magnetic, soil and rock geochemical surveys; trenching; target generation; and diamond drilling. At Cross Hills, Zonte targets district-scale IOCG-style copper-gold mineralization, including copper occurrences associated with chalcocite, bornite and chalcopyrite in breccias, veins and replacement-style settings. At MJ, it targets intrusion-related gold mineralization. The Company also holds interests in Colombian mineral opportunities, including Project X and an application covering open areas over the outline of the Gramalote open-pit deposit; the Colombian title issuance is contested by the applicable state authority and is subject to legal action by the Company to protect its asserted rights. Zonte Metals serves the mineral exploration and mining sector, with a strategy of advancing large-scale prospective projects toward potential financing, development or partnership transactions. The Company was founded in 2009 and is headquartered in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Recent developments include the completion in June 2026 of a two-tranche non-brokered private placement that generated aggregate gross proceeds of CAD400,000 through the issuance of 4.0 million common-share units, with proceeds designated for general corporate and working-capital purposes; a January 2026 corporate update highlighting ongoing technical advancement of the MJ and Cross Hills projects and evaluation of financing and partnership alternatives; and the September 2026 grant of 2.71 million stock options to officers, directors and consultants under its stock-option plan.
