Business
Galada Power & Telecommunication Limited is an India-based manufacturer and engineering solutions provider specializing in aluminum electrical transmission conductors, specialty wire rods, and power distribution hardware. Founded in 1972 as Galada Continuous Castings Limited and headquartered in Hyderabad, Telangana, the company operates across the electrical equipment, power infrastructure, and non-ferrous metallurgy sectors. Galada Power & Telecommunication Limited develops, manufactures, and supplies a comprehensive portfolio of power transmission products, comprising All Aluminium Alloy Conductors (AAAC) manufactured from 6201 alloy for high corrosion resistance and energy efficiency; All Aluminium Conductors (AAC) utilizing electrolytic conductor (EC) grade aluminum for urban distribution networks; Aluminium Conductor Steel Reinforced (ACSR) lines for medium- to high-voltage overhead transmission; High Temperature Low Sag (HTLS) conductors designed for high thermal capacity up to 230 degrees Celsius; anti-vibration and self-damping conductors; messenger conductors for aerial bunched cable (ABC) systems; continuous cast EC-grade and alloy aluminum wire rods including NML-PM2 formulations; specialty aluminum wires, strips, slugs, and circular sheets; and high-integrity aluminum alloy castings engineered for aerospace components, defense equipment, and specialized automotive and combat vehicle applications. In addition to manufacturing, the company provides turnkey engineering, design, testing, upgrading, and commissioning services for power transmission and distribution lines and substations ranging from 11 kV to 220 kV, catering to state electricity boards, power utilities, public infrastructure contractors, and industrial clients throughout India. In recent corporate developments, Galada Power & Telecommunication Limited underwent a comprehensive restructuring through the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP) under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code. The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) Hyderabad Bench approved a resolution plan on May 25, 2023, submitted by Amrutha Constructions Private Limited, which became the successful resolution applicant and assumed majority ownership and management control. Following the formal approval of the compliance application by the NCLT in June 2024, the resolution plan was fully implemented, entailing a reduction of the existing paid-up equity share capital, the issuance of fresh equity shares to the incoming promoters, and a reconstitution of the board of directors. Under its new ownership, the company is executing an operational revival program focused on refurbishing and restarting production lines at its primary manufacturing plant in Uppal, Hyderabad, while monetizing non-operational assets at its Silvassa facility to streamline capital allocation and restore active manufacturing operations.
