China Longyuan Power Group Corporation Limited (SEHK: 916; OTC: CLPXF) is a China-based comprehensive power generation company primarily engaged in the development, construction, management and operation of wind power, photovoltaic (PV) power, coal-fired thermal power plants and other renewable energy facilities; it generates and sells electricity to power grid companies and external customers, while also manufacturing and selling power generation equipment, providing consulting, maintenance, training services to renewable energy plants, and engaging in coal trading. The company operates through four main segments: Wind Power, which focuses on wind farms; Photovoltaic Power Generation, covering solar plants; Thermal Power, involving coal-fired facilities; and All Others, encompassing additional renewables such as tidal, biomass and geothermal projects, equipment sales and related services. Founded in 1993 and headquartered at Tower C, International Investment Plaza, 6-9 Fuchengmen North Street, Xicheng District, Beijing, China, it is a subsidiary of China Energy Investment Corporation Limited (CHN Energy) and maintains operations across 32 provinces and cities in China, as well as in Canada, South Africa and Ukraine. As of September 30, 2025, the company's consolidated installed capacity reaches 43,417.39 megawatts (MW), comprising 31,543.47 MW of wind power and 11,867.82 MW of PV power, reflecting net additions of 1,134.70 MW wind and 1,169.49 MW PV during the first nine months of 2025. It holds leading positions as one of the world's largest wind power operators, with all controlled capacity of 41,143.2 MW dedicated to renewables by end-2024. In recent developments, China Longyuan Power has pursued aggressive expansion through strategic acquisitions and joint ventures, including the January 2025 purchase of seven PV power plants totaling 720 MW from Beijing Dongneng Fund, Beijing Xinyuan No.1 Equity Investment Fund and CHN Energy Low Carbon Fund for RMB 679.7 million to bolster its solar portfolio and market share. In November 2025, it signed investment agreements with Guoneng Jiangsu Electric Power and others via subsidiary Xiongya Company to establish Rudong Longyuan, Yancheng Dafeng Longyuan and Sheyang Longyuan joint ventures, contributing RMB 153 million for new project development. Additional October 2024 announcements covered acquisitions of equity in entities such as Xiahe Guoneng New Energy Development Co Ltd, Jinta Beishan Guoneng New Energy Co Ltd, Guoneng (Wuwei) New Energy Co Ltd, Minqin Guoneng Wind Power Co Ltd and Gansu Guoneng Wind Power Co Ltd to enhance wind and new energy assets.[?][ (M&A)] The company also secured RMB 2.0 billion in low-cost three-year mid-term notes in April 2025 at a 1.78% coupon rate to fund renewable projects and refinancing.
