Business
Canso Select Opportunities Corporation is an Ontario-based investment holding company that seeks long-term capital growth through a portfolio of public and private equity investments, debt securities and other financial instruments. The Company’s principal holding is Class A shares of Lysander Funds Ltd.; it also evaluates and invests in publicly traded and privately held companies, corporate debt, preferred shares and other securities. Its investment activities are principally focused on North America, although its investment mandate does not impose geographic restrictions. Canso Select Opportunities Corporation deploys capital based on the relative attractiveness of prospective investments and cash generated through realizations, income and distributions from existing holdings, and targets returns in excess of average market returns over the long term. The Company serves shareholders through its investment portfolio and is listed on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbols CSOC.A and CSOC.B. Founded in 2014, Canso Select Opportunities Corporation is headquartered in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada. Recent operational changes include the May 15, 2026 termination and wind-up of its wholly owned Canso Select Opportunities Fund trust, following the decline in the tax benefits of maintaining the vehicle; the Fund’s remaining assets and liabilities were distributed to the Company as its sole unitholder.
