Business
Maridive & Oil Services S.A.E. is an Egypt-based offshore marine and oilfield services company that provides integrated marine, offshore construction, and subsea support solutions to the oil and gas exploration and production industry. Founded in 1978 and headquartered in Port Said, Egypt, the company operates primarily through two main business segments: Offshore Support Vessels (OSV) and Offshore Construction Services (OCS). Maridive serves international oil companies, national oil corporations, and EPC contractors across the Mediterranean Sea, the Red Sea, the Arabian Gulf, North and West Africa, the Caspian Sea, and Latin America, operating through key subsidiaries including Maridive Offshore Projects (MOP), Maritide Offshore Oil Services, and Ocean Marine FZC. The company provides a comprehensive portfolio of offshore oilfield and marine services, including: Offshore Support Vessel (OSV) operations utilizing a fleet of Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessels, Platform Supply Vessels (PSV), Multi-Purpose Support Vessels (MPSV), and utility tugs for offshore towing, rig moving, anchor handling, cargo transport, supply logistics, and offshore accommodation; Offshore Construction Services (OCS), providing Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation (EPCI) solutions, platform fabrication and installation, subsea pipeline and flexible flowline laying, subsea umbilical and power cable installation, platform revamping, and decommissioning; Underwater and Subsea Diving Services, offering surface-supplied air and saturation diving, Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) interventions, subsea non-destructive testing (NDT), underwater welding, and subsea Inspection, Repair, and Maintenance (IRM); Marine Emergency and Environmental Support, delivering marine salvage, oil spill containment and recovery, offshore firefighting, and mooring management; and Marine Survey and Positioning, encompassing bathymetric surveys, geophysical and geotechnical investigations, rig positioning, and pre-lay and post-lay pipeline surveys. In recent developments, Maridive & Oil Services S.A.E. has executed strategic fleet optimization, geographical expansion, and corporate restructuring initiatives. The company divested its entire stake in UAE-based Valentine Maritime Limited to rationalize asset holdings and concentrate resources on its core marine fleet and subsea construction activities. Maridive Offshore Projects secured a 15-year offshore maintenance and production support contract in Qatar, alongside the establishment of a fully owned subsidiary in the United Arab Emirates with associated multi-year petroleum support contracts. In Egypt, the company secured multi-million dollar exploration and production support contracts and initiated strategic discussions with the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources regarding potential expansion into direct field development. Operationally, Maridive entered into a multi-year Master Services Agreement with ABL for fleet-wide marine assurance and risk mitigation. Financially, following an operational turnaround driven by higher vessel utilization and charter day-rates, the company has undertaken balance-sheet restructuring to remediate accumulated losses and permitted due diligence following a non-binding offer from The Arab Energy Fund to acquire an equity stake of up to 20% in the company.
