- Gelex Electric Joint Stock Company (HOSE: GEE), a subsidiary of GELEX Group Joint Stock Company, is a Vietnam-based holding enterprise primarily engaged in the manufacturing of electrical equipment and the development and operation of renewable energy power plants. Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Hanoi, Vietnam, the company conducts its core operations across two primary business segments: Electrical Equipment Manufacturing and Energy Generation. Through its established manufacturing subsidiaries, Gelex Electric produces and distributes a comprehensive portfolio of power transmission and distribution products, comprising electrical wires and power cables marketed under the CADIVI brand, including low-voltage, medium-voltage, and high-voltage power cables, bare copper and aluminum conductors, building wires, solar photovoltaic cables, and fire-resistant safety cables; distribution and power transformers produced under the THIBIDI brand, including oil-immersed distribution transformers, dry-type cast resin transformers, and amorphous alloy core energy-efficient transformers; electrical measuring instruments and grid monitoring equipment manufactured by EMIC, including single-phase and three-phase electronic meters, smart grid energy meters, induction watt-hour meters, current transformers, and voltage transformers; and industrial rotating machinery manufactured by HEM and VIHEM, including three-phase electric motors, explosion-proof motors, customized traction motors, and diesel generator assemblies. In the energy sector, the company operates clean energy projects, including utility-scale wind farms, solar power facilities, and hydroelectric plants delivering electricity to the national grid. Gelex Electric supplies national utility operators such as Vietnam Electricity (EVN), industrial construction contractors, commercial infrastructure developers, and residential builders, while exporting electrical hardware to Southeast Asia, Australia, and North America. In recent corporate developments, the company officially transferred its listing from the Unlisted Public Company Market (UPCoM) to the main board of the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE) in August 2024, listing 300 million shares to strengthen institutional capital access and market visibility. In addition, Gelex Electric entered into strategic equity transactions and asset partnership agreements with Singapore-based Sembcorp Industries to optimize its renewable energy project portfolio and capital allocation, while expanding manufacturing lines for high-efficiency eco-friendly transformers, smart digital measurement systems, and fire-retardant cable solutions.
