GAON CABLE Co., Ltd. operates as a leading South Korean provider in the cable manufacturing sector, delivering a wide array of power and communication infrastructure solutions. The company’s comprehensive power cable offerings encompass extra-high voltage cables, such as advanced XLPE insulated varieties; overhead transmission and distribution lines, including optical fiber composite ground wire and trolley/messenger wires; alongside medium and low voltage power cables, control cables, fire protection cables, and insulated wires. Furthermore, it specializes in industrial cables for demanding applications like marine and offshore environments, as well as solutions for renewable energy sectors, specifically solar, wind, and ESS battery cables. In the realm of telecommunications, GAON CABLE produces local area network (LAN) cables and associated components, diverse optical communication products including fiber optic cables and pre-connectorized assemblies, and other communication cables such as hybrid, CATV, and PVC-insulated telephone jumper wires. Beyond finished cables, the company supplies essential materials like copper rods and oxygen-free copper products. Complementing its core products, it develops intelligent wiring systems, offering aluminum-clad flexible cables and smart wiring installations, alongside integral pipeline systems featuring threadless conduits and quick-connect joints for water pipes. GAON CABLE's products are vital across numerous applications, serving power grids, residential and commercial buildings, industrial plants, railways, ports, airports, wind farms, maritime operations, and broadband communication networks. Established in 1947 as Korea's first cable manufacturer, the company adopted the name GAON CABLE Co., Ltd. in September 2004, having previously been known as Kukje Electric Wire Co., Ltd. Headquartered in Anyang, South Korea, GAON CABLE has recently expanded its global footprint, notably by acquiring full ownership of LSCUS, a US-based distribution cable manufacturer, in late 2024 to strengthen its presence in the North American market, particularly in renewable energy and power infrastructure. This strategic move, along with the September 2024 acquisition of G&P to enhance vertical integration, underscores its commitment to high-value product diversification and continuous growth, aiming for 2.5 trillion won in sales by 2025.
