Business
Cheryong Industrial Co., Ltd. is a South Korea-based electrical equipment manufacturing company primarily engaged in the design, development, production, and distribution of hardware, materials, and specialized components for power transmission, electrical distribution, substations, and electrified railway networks. Founded in 2011 following a corporate spin-off from Cheryong Electric Co., Ltd. and headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, the company operates manufacturing and research facilities in Gongju, South Chungcheong Province, serving national public utilities, electrified rail operators, engineering, procurement, and construction contractors, and international grid development projects. The company's core product offerings comprise overhead power transmission and distribution hardware, including spacer dampers, vibration dampers, suspension and tension clamp assemblies, compression sleeves, dead-end fittings, and armor rods; underground power line and civil electrical materials, including high-strength fiber-reinforced plastic cable troughs, synthetic resin cable trays, modular underground conduit protectors, manhole covers, and waterproof cable protection piping; railway electrification systems, including overhead contact line fittings, rigid catenary systems, dropper hardware, cantilever assemblies, and composite railway insulators for conventional and high-speed rail lines; and high-voltage insulation and surge protection products, including polymer long-rod insulators, station post insulators, composite cross-arms, and line surge arresters. In recent operational developments and strategic initiatives, Cheryong Industrial Co., Ltd. has expanded its production capacity and broadened its global export initiatives to capitalize on accelerating demand for power grid modernization, renewable energy integration, and AI-driven data center electricity infrastructure, expanding shipments of transmission and distribution components to markets across North America and the Asia-Pacific region; introduced new series of eco-friendly, lightweight, and fire-resistant composite cable trough systems engineered to replace conventional concrete raceways in urban undergrounding projects; secured advanced technical certifications for ultra-high voltage transmission hardware in line with updated grid reliability and safety standards from the Korea Electric Power Corporation; and enhanced its railway hardware line with next-generation heavy-duty overhead catenary components designed for ongoing high-speed rail network upgrades and urban transit electrification programs.
