Business
RYUK-IL C&S., Ltd. is a South Korea-based technology and manufacturing company primarily engaged in the production of display cover glass, smart edutech systems, and specialty materials. Established in March 2007 and headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, the company serves global consumer electronics manufacturers, automotive original equipment manufacturers, educational institutions, and industrial clients across domestic and international markets. The company operates through three principal business divisions comprising Display Cover Glass, Edutech and Smart Solutions, and Industrial Materials. Its core products and services include: Display Cover Glass: 2D, 2.5D, and 3D curved tempered glass for mobile devices, smartphones, and wearable electronics; automotive interior display cover glass engineered for digital instrument clusters, center information displays (CID), rear seat entertainment (RSE) panels, and head-up display (HUD) units; specialized glass processing services encompassing CNC high-precision profiling, chemical strengthening, thermal bending, double-sided chemical polishing, screen printing, anti-glare (AG), anti-reflective (AR), and anti-fingerprint (AF) optical surface coatings. Edutech and Smart Solutions: interactive electronic whiteboards and touch-enabled smart digital blackboards; electronic podiums and digital instructor lecterns; large-format video information displays (VID); virtual reality (VR) and interactive physical education simulators; artificial intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT)-integrated smart disaster and fire safety sensors; integrated smart classroom software, content management platforms, and digital educational equipment supplied to primary, secondary, and tertiary educational institutions as well as government procurement agencies. Specialty Chemical Materials: polyvinyl chloride (PVC) composite stabilizers for polymer processing; ultraviolet (UV) light absorbers and light stabilizers utilized in automotive seat resins, synthetic leather, and technical footwear; curing agents and functional chemical additives for industrial plastic applications. In recent strategic developments, RYUK-IL C&S has executed major structural reorganizations to pivot toward high-margin digital education technology, AI platforms, and optimized display manufacturing. In June 2024, the company accelerated its business diversification by acquiring an approximate 93 percent controlling interest in Combustech Co., Ltd., a specialized developer of electronic blackboards and AI-enabled educational hardware, establishing edutech as a core operational pillar. To fund strategic expansion and reinforce its capital base, the company completed a KRW 5 billion convertible bond issuance in December 2024. In April 2025, RYUK-IL C&S restructured its overseas manufacturing footprint by divesting its entire 100 percent equity interest in its Vietnamese production subsidiary, SD Global Vietnam Co., Ltd. Additionally, in July 2026, the company executed an asset optimization transaction by divesting its fine chemical manufacturing subsidiary, C&A Co., Ltd., to redeploy liquidity toward smart edutech platforms, next-generation automotive display glass engineering, and high-growth technology ventures.
