G.I. Tech Co., Ltd. is a South Korea-based precision engineering and manufacturing company that specializes in the design, production, and maintenance of ultra-precision components and automated system equipment for the secondary battery, display, hydrogen fuel cell, and semiconductor industries. Founded in 1990 as Ohsung Precision and incorporated in 2012, the company is headquartered in Asan-si, Chungcheongnam-do, South Korea. G.I. Tech operates primarily across precision tooling, equipment engineering, and refurbishment service segments, supplying advanced manufacturing hardware and maintenance solutions to electric vehicle battery manufacturers, energy storage system producers, display panel makers, and electronics fabricators across South Korea, North America, Europe, and Asia. The company provides an extensive portfolio of precision hardware, systems, and specialized services, comprising: ultra-precision slot dies engineered for secondary battery electrode manufacturing, delivering uniform application of cathode and anode active slurry materials onto current collectors; high-precision slit nozzles utilized in flat-panel OLED and LCD display fabrication for photoresist and chemical coating processes; specialized slot dies for hydrogen fuel cell membrane electrode assembly coating and multilayer ceramic capacitor manufacturing; automated roll-to-roll coating machinery and integrated coating system equipment; precision battery notching dies and cutting tools used in cell assembly; machine vision inspection systems, including the RAVID AI optical inspection suite; and high-precision refurbishment, re-grinding, and re-coating services designed to restore and maintain the surface tolerances and operational lifespans of used slot dies and slit nozzles. In recent developments, G.I. Tech has executed strategic expansions to strengthen its global manufacturing footprint and broaden its technological capabilities. The company completed the acquisition and subsequent absorption merger of MV Tech Co., Ltd. in 2025, integrating proprietary machine vision, optical inspection, and industrial automation capabilities into its core equipment portfolio. To accelerate penetration into the North American electric vehicle and energy storage sectors, the company completed the construction of its manufacturing and technical service facility under its subsidiary, GI Tech America Inc., in Crown Point, Indiana, in 2026, establishing localized slot die refurbishment and precision component production. Additionally, G.I. Tech expanded its presence in the European battery supply chain through major supply contracts with Automotive Cells Company in France for slurry coating slot dies, while broadening its revenue base through increased shipments of customized slot dies for utility-scale energy storage systems and entering the precision battery notching die market.
