Business
Maruwa Co., Ltd. is a Japan-based manufacturer and seller of advanced ceramics and electronic components, founded in 1973 and headquartered in Owariasahi, Aichi Prefecture. The company operates across four main business divisions: Ceramics; Electronic Components and Devices; Quartz Glass; and LED Lighting. Its ceramics segment produces high-performance ceramic substrates, ceramic fillers, metalized and multilayer ceramic substrates, pressed ceramic products, ceramic hermetic seals, and silicon carbide (SiC) components. The electronic components division manufactures antennas, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and radio frequency (RF) components, inductors, capacitors, multilayer capacitors, and EMI filters. The quartz glass segment supplies various quartz glass products such as quartz boats and tubes used in semiconductor manufacturing and other high-tech applications. The LED lighting business develops and sells LED lighting fixtures for street, tunnel, and landscape lighting, leveraging integrated ceramic, circuit design, and packaging technologies for enhanced heat dissipation and performance. Recently, Maruwa has focused on expanding its global mass production capabilities for electronic components including magnetic sheets and inductors, and advancing its ceramic and quartz glass technologies to serve rapidly growing technical fields like semiconductors, solar cells, and LED applications. In 2025, Maruwa received the "Kurumin Certification" from Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, reflecting its commitment to sustainable operations. The company has also revised its earnings forecast in response to business changes and continues to innovate within its core ceramic material technologies and electronic device offerings. Maruwa maintains a strategic emphasis on combining material science expertise with integrated manufacturing processes to meet the stringent requirements of sectors such as automotive, telecommunications, industrial equipment, renewable energy, aerospace, and medical devices. This positions Maruwa as a leading supplier of critical high-performance materials and components globally. Maruwa Co., Ltd. serves a diverse customer base across Japan and international markets, providing specialized materials and components essential for advanced technological applications. The company leverages a vertically integrated production system from raw ceramic materials to finished electronic devices, supporting the performance and quality demands of next-generation electronic and industrial products.
