In recent developments, NFI Group formed a 50/50 joint venture with GILLIG LLC in October 2025 to acquire the assets of American Seating Inc., enhancing North American seat supply for transit applications; the company expanded its Winnipeg facility in 2024 with government funding from Manitoba and PrairiesCan to enable full Canadian builds of Xcelsior heavy-duty transit buses, creating up to 250 green jobs; and it opened a Las Vegas production facility for Alexander Dennis double-deck buses, a new MCI service center in California, and initiated All Canadian Build production in Manitoba during 2025.
