Qatar Gas Transport Company Limited (Nakilat) Qatar Gas Transport Company Limited (Nakilat) (QPSC) operates as a leading shipping and maritime company based in Doha, Qatar, founded in 2004, providing the essential transportation link in Qatar's liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply chain through one of the world's largest LNG carrier fleets comprising 69 LNG carriers. The company offers a comprehensive portfolio of maritime services, including ship repair and offshore fabrication at the Erhama Bin Jaber Al Jalahma Shipyard via joint ventures Qatar Shipyard Technology Solutions (N-KOM) and Qatar Fabrication Company (QFAB); towage and marine support services through Nakilat SvizerWijsmuller (NSW) with owned tug boats, pilot boats and crew boats; shipping agency services via Nakilat Agency Company (NAC) at all Qatari ports and terminals; vessel support including chandlery, logistics, custom formalities, husbandry, bunker coordination and drydocking; and management of one floating storage regasification unit (FSRU), four very large liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) carriers and additional LNG carriers through its wholly-owned subsidiary Nakilat Shipping Qatar Limited (NSQL). Nakilat serves global markets, delivering LNG to over 30 countries with operations focused on Qatar and international shipping routes under long-term time charter agreements primarily with QatarEnergy. In recent developments, Nakilat signed long-term charter party agreements with QatarEnergy in March 2024 for 25 conventional LNG vessels of 174,000 cubic meters capacity each, fully owned and operated by Nakilat as part of QatarEnergy's LNG fleet expansion; secured financing from Korea Export-Import Bank (KEXIM) in August 2025 for 25 LNG vessels under construction in South Korea; initiated steel cutting in September 2025 for 17 LNG carriers at Hyundai Heavy Industries; and advanced a broader fleet expansion program ordering 36 additional LNG carriers including QC-MAX models and four LPG/ammonia carriers for delivery from 2026, aiming to grow its total fleet to 112 vessels while reporting a 3.7% rise in net profit for the first half of 2025.
