The company operates through Automotive, Sales Financing and Mobility Services segments and conducts activities in Europe, Eurasia, Africa, the Middle East, Asia Pacific and the Americas. Founded in 1899 and headquartered in Boulogne-Billancourt, France, Renault SA forms part of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance, with the French state and Nissan each holding a 15% stake, and maintains subsidiaries including Romanian-based Dacia and sports car maker Alpine. In late 2025, Renault completes a strategic partnership with Geely, divesting a 26.4% interest in its Brazilian subsidiary for enhanced development of zero and low-emission vehicles, access to industrial facilities in São José dos Pinhais and shared sales networks; pursues additional alliances with Chinese manufacturers such as Chery to leverage platforms, engineering and markets; and advances its Renaulution plan with 100% electric product expansions, hybrid innovations, circular economy initiatives and a 2025 leadership reorganization for financial stability and growth.
