It operates through segments including Sagicor Canada, Sagicor Life USA, Sagicor Jamaica and Sagicor Life, with principal markets in Barbados, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, the United States and Canada. Founded in 1840 and headquartered in St. Michael, Barbados, Sagicor targets individual and corporate customers including pre- and post-retirees seeking fixed annuities and life insurance products. In 2024, Sagicor repurchased 3 million shares and raised a CAD200 million term loan facility to refinance higher-cost debt; in 2025, the company targets over $1 billion in new U.S. annuity business, $180-200 million in new business CSM and investment-grade ratings from Fitch, while advancing technology integration and digital transformation across segments to enhance ROE and operational efficiencies.
