- GP Industries Limited is a Singapore-based industrial investment and manufacturing holding company engaged in the development, manufacture, and distribution of battery solutions, premium acoustics, and electronic components. Founded in 1964 and listed on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited (SGX: G20) since 1995, the company serves as the principal industrial investment vehicle of Hong Kong-listed Gold Peak Technology Group Limited, which maintains a controlling equity interest. GP Industries operates through three primary business segments: Battery, Acoustics and Electronics, and Other Industrial Investments.
The company offers a comprehensive portfolio of consumer and industrial products, systematically structured across its operational units: primary batteries, including consumer alkaline, carbon-zinc, and specialty lithium coin and button cells; rechargeable batteries and power systems, including nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) cells, lithium-ion packs, and customized energy storage modules for industrial and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) clients; portable power banks, smart chargers, and flashlights marketed under the GP brand; high-fidelity audio equipment, luxury wireless speaker systems, architectural home theater speakers, and subwoofers under the KEF brand; professional audio transducers, horn drivers, and guitar and bass amplifier loudspeakers under the Celestion brand; and electronics manufacturing services (EMS) delivering precision acoustic parts, automotive wire harnesses, and specialty electronic assemblies.
GP Industries serves original equipment manufacturers, global electronics retailers, commercial audio enterprises, and retail consumers worldwide. Its operational footprint spans more than ten countries across Asia, Europe, and the Americas, anchored by extensive manufacturing facilities located in Mainland China, Vietnam, and Malaysia, supported by regional logistics hubs and global sales networks.
In recent strategic developments, GP Industries has accelerated the optimization of its manufacturing footprint and corporate structure. The group has diversified its supply chain away from concentrated Chinese manufacturing by expanding production capacity in Southeast Asia, notably through the establishment of GP-LB Microbatteries (Vietnam) Limited Liability Company and enhanced investments in Malaysian and Vietnamese facilities, alongside the strategic consolidation of Changzhou Lithium Batteries Limited. In acoustics, the company consolidated its audio-related businesses into KEF GP Group (KGG) to drive synergies in research, design, and commercialization, launching new high-performance audio systems including the KEF LS LUXE wireless line, Coda W series, and updated KC92 and Kube active subwoofers with advanced velocity control and Auracast capabilities. Additionally, the group enacted a major executive leadership transition with the appointment of Brian Li Yiu Cheung as Chief Executive Officer and Lam Hin Lap as Deputy Chief Executive Officer.
