Founded in 1989 and headquartered in Laval, Quebec, Canada, the company operates manufacturing facilities across North America, Europe, China and Australia, employing over 2,300 associates globally through divisions including Savaria Concord Lifts, Garaventa Lift, Handicare, Span-America and Savaria Huizhou. Its core products and services encompass home elevators such as the Vuelift and new Luma elevator; stairlifts for straight and curved applications; vertical and inclined wheelchair platform lifts; commercial lifts; ceiling track lifts, patient slings, floor lifts, standing aids and bathing equipment; medical beds and therapeutic support surfaces for pressure management and positioning; as well as adapted vehicles through brands like Viewpoint Mobility; these offerings serve aging-in-place consumers, healthcare facilities, architects, builders and institutional clients primarily in North America, Europe, Australia and Asia. In recent developments, Savaria acquired Western Elevator Ltd. in May 2025 to strengthen its West Coast footprint in North America; launched the Luma home elevator to drive organic growth; and continues integrating prior acquisitions such as Handicare in 2022 and D.A. Matot's dumbwaiter assets in 2024, alongside operational enhancements yielding a Q4 2024 gross margin expansion to 37.7% through procurement and efficiency gains.
