- Strategic Metals Ltd. is a Vancouver, British Columbia-based mineral exploration and project-generation company focused primarily on the acquisition, research, staking, exploration, evaluation, optioning, joint venturing and sale of mineral properties in Yukon, Canada. The Company maintains interests in more than 100 mineral properties, including approximately 80 wholly owned properties, five joint ventures, 13 properties under option and 17 net smelter return royalty interests. Its exploration portfolio comprises precious-, base- and critical-metal targets, including gold, silver, lead, zinc, copper, tin, tungsten, vanadium and lithium prospects, as well as coal; target deposit styles include porphyry, skarn, epithermal vein, orogenic gold, sedimentary-exhalative and carbonate-replacement systems. Strategic Metals conducts early-stage research, claim staking, geochemical and geophysical evaluation and initial exploration, then seeks purchasers, option partners and joint-venture participants to fund further advancement; consideration may include cash payments, equity interests and retained royalties. The Company also owns and advances the wholly owned Division Mountain coal project in south-central Yukon, approximately 90 km north of Whitehorse, which hosts a measured resource of high-volatile B bituminous coal. Strategic Metals holds material equity positions in exploration and development companies, including GGL Resources Corp., Broden Mining Ltd., Rockhaven Resources Ltd., Silver Range Resources Ltd. and Trifecta Gold Ltd., and owns 15 million shares of Terra CO2 Technologies Holdings Inc., a developer of low-carbon cementitious-material technology. In 2026, the Company released a scoping study and NI 43-101 preliminary economic assessment for Division Mountain, evaluating an open-pit coal mine and associated potential coal-fired power-generation alternatives for Yukon’s isolated grid; completed the sale of its Byng and Mars mineral properties in southern Yukon to Cascadia Minerals Ltd.; and obtained disinterested shareholder approval, subject to remaining conditions including TSX Venture Exchange final acceptance, for GGL Resources Corp. to receive a two-stage option to acquire up to a 100% interest in the Hopper, Kluane, Batt and Moraine copper-gold properties in southwestern Yukon.
