The Swatch Group AG (SWGNF) designs, manufactures and markets finished watches, jewelry, watch movements and components across all price segments; operates through the Watches & Jewelry and Electronic Systems segments; and maintains a fully vertically integrated structure with approximately 150 production sites in Switzerland producing movements, cases, crystals, hands and other components that exceed Swiss Made criteria. The company offers 16 watch brands including Breguet, Harry Winston, Blancpain, Glashütte Original, Jaquet Droz, Omega, Longines, Rado, Union Glashütte, Tissot, Balmain, Certina, Mido, Hamilton, Swatch and Flik Flak; multi-brand retail through Tourbillon and Hour Passion boutiques; and electronic systems via subsidiaries like Renata, Micro Crystal and EM Microelectronic in areas such as healthcare, mobility, battery management and miniaturized Bluetooth technologies. Founded in 1983 through the merger of ASUAG and SSIH and headquartered in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland, the group employs around 32,500 people across more than 50 countries with a global sales network and service centers; it reported net sales of CHF 6.74 billion in 2024 and serves markets including the USA, Europe, Greater China, Japan, India and the Middle East. In recent developments, the group launched promising new products across brands in the first half of 2025, including Breguet special models for its 250th anniversary; introduced Bioceramic innovations and collaborations like the MoonSwatch with Omega and Scuba Fifty Fathoms with Blancpain; debuted a world-first AI-DADA personalization experience for Swatch watches drawing from 40 years of design history; achieved double-digit growth in the Electronic Systems segment; and saw CEO Nick Hayek float the idea of a potential take-private transaction, with shares responding positively.
