The company offers circuit breakers, switchgear, busway, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), power distribution units, panel boards, load centers, motor controls, meters, sensors, relays, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs) and inverters in its electrical sector; actuators, motion control, back-up power, lighting controls, low- and medium-voltage power distribution systems, pumps, valves, vehicle transmissions, clutches, hybrid power systems, superchargers, engine valves and eMobility solutions in its aerospace, vehicle, industrial automation and mobility segments. Eaton operates in more than 175 countries, serving industrial, utility, commercial, residential, aerospace, automotive and data center customers, with approximately 85,000 employees; it was founded in 1911 and maintains its global headquarters in Dublin, Ireland, and primary operational headquarters in Beachwood, Ohio. In recent developments, Eaton signed an agreement in June 2025 to acquire Ultra PCS Limited for $1.55 billion to bolster its safety and mission-critical aerospace systems portfolio, with the transaction expected to close in the first half of 2026; it agreed in November 2025 to acquire Boyd Thermal to enhance liquid cooling capabilities for data centers and high-power applications; and it completed the acquisition of Fibrebond in March 2025 for $1.4 billion, adding pre-integrated modular power enclosures for data centers, industrial and utility markets. The company continues to expand manufacturing capacity through initiatives such as an $18.5 million facility expansion in Orchard Park, New York, adding 100 jobs for aerospace production in September 2025; a $100 million investment in Nacogdoches, Texas, to double voltage regulator and transformer output; and a new transformer manufacturing site in South Carolina in February 2025 to address grid modernization demands.
