Primerica, Inc. operates as a financial services company primarily serving middle-income households in the United States and Canada. Founded in 1981 and headquartered in Duluth, Georgia, the company offers a range of financial products and services including term life insurance, mutual funds, annuities, managed investments, business retirement plans, education savings plans, and mortgage products through a partnership with Rocket Mortgage, LLC. It also provides auto and home insurance referral services, pre-paid legal services via its Legal Protection Program, and identity theft protection. Primerica uses a multi-level marketing strategy with a large network of licensed representatives distributing its products. It is the second largest issuer of term life insurance in North America, insuring approximately 5.7 million lives with about 2.7 million client investment accounts and $903 billion of term life insurance in force. Recent major changes include the acquisition of e-Telequote, a health insurance marketer, in July 2021, and the approval of a $475 million share repurchase program in late 2025. The company also announced management succession with Robert H. Peterman, Jr. appointed COO effective October 2024, succeeding Gregory C. Pitts who retires in April 2025. Primerica continues to expand its product offerings and maintain a focus on empowering middle-income families through financial education and tailored financial solutions.
