Business
CarParts.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: PRTS) operates as a technology-driven e-commerce retailer of aftermarket automotive parts and accessories in the United States and the Philippines. The company offers over 1 million products, including collision repair parts such as bumper covers, headlights, mirrors, fenders, tail lights, and grille assemblies; engine and chassis components; performance parts and accessories; mechanical and electrical parts under the Evan Fischer brand; mirror products under the Kool-Vue brand; and other items under the JC Whitney brand; it also provides services through its nationwide company-owned distribution centers, fast shipping, mobile app, vehicle selector tool, and satisfaction guarantee, serving individual DIY customers, professional installers, collision repair shops, and wholesale distributors via its flagship website www.carparts.com, app, and online marketplaces. Founded in 1995 and headquartered in Torrance, California, the company maintains strategically placed warehouses across the contiguous United States, including a new semi-automated facility in Las Vegas, Nevada, to optimize logistics, reduce costs, and expedite delivery. It operates a portfolio of brands such as CarParts Wholesale, Garage-Pro, and Evan Fischer, with no disclosed parent company. In September 2025, CarParts.com secured a $35.7 million strategic investment from ZongTeng Group, A-Premium, and CDH Investments, comprising equity and convertible notes, which ended a prior sale process; this deal includes a long-term commercial partnership with A-Premium adding approximately 150,000 products like proprietary kits and bundles to its catalog, collaboration with ZongTeng for improved global logistics and fulfillment, and plans to expand product offerings, upgrade customer experience, and enhance operational efficiency. In October 2025, the company announced board transitions, with Henry Maier and James Barnes stepping down following the investment.
